Julia’s Take Away Gourmet & Catering has a lot to offer when it comes to parties and event planning.  I have years of experience working as en event planner for a large catering company, as well as great skills in the kitchen. My attention to detail and organization adds up to a wonderful event for you!  Our parties are great ideas for Engagement Parties, Rehearsal Dinners, Corporate functions and other gatherings where there is good food and a fun crowd!  We can help you with every aspect of your event or just the food, it’s like a la carte parties!  We tailor each event instead of preparing “packages”, so please inquire about pricing for your unique event.  Below are a few of the different events offered, and if you have an idea of your own, say a Kentucky Derby Party or Holiday event, please inquire.

Lowcountry Oyster Roast…burlap, oyster knives, sauces and sides!  You provide the cold beer, relax, and eat yummy oysters steaming hot!   An all time favorite and overall great event!  Packages can be designed so all of your guests have plenty to enjoy, even if they don’t eat oysters.  *May only be available only parts of the year*.  Customize it and make it more fun with our Boiled Peanuts & more!

Lowcountry Shrimp & Crab Boils…a couple of different party packages are available from a simple event to the whole nine yards!  Our persoanl favorite is the traditional Low Country Boil, also known as Frogmore Stew and other names, that includes shrimp, potatoes, corn & kielbasa sausage cooked to perfection in Old Bay spices!  Yummy, fun, and different, this is always a crowd pleaser!   Prices are based on market, please inquire.

Piedmont Pig…the real deal, BBQ shoulders smoked and pulled just for your event.  Selection of sides included are: BBQ or regular cole slaw, Cheesy Baked Bean Casserole, and Sandwich Buns; more sides are available, too.  Our unique Eastern style pork will literally smoke your doors off!

Tailgate Time…Choose from big pots of All American Chili, Brunswick Stew, White Chicken Chili, grilled gourmet sausages on site, and more.  You’re sure to score a touchdown with this tailgate!

Cooking with the Caja China…Want something unique and different for your event?  This just might be what you’re looking for!  Pictured below, this roasting box can do a half hog, whole hams or shoulders, turkeys, chickens, ribs, you name it!  Please inquire for details and pricing for your event.
